Threshold, a work-in-progress, tells the story of a long-term love affair featuring Frodo and a female character whom I have created from a name in the family tree in the Appendices. The fic is essentially AU, of course, since Tolkien's Frodo never married, had no children, and did not appear to be anything other than a content, well-adjusted bachelor hobbit who was just reaching the end of his young years (a hobbit's 50), when he was sent off on the Quest.

I began writing this fic in the spring of 2004, first posting Chs. 1 -7 in July 2004. The story is about half-way finished. I am a slow, meticulous writer, so readers have plenty of time to read things as they come out!
